Simon James is the author of the thriller Ghost Note.

Simon James has worked as a quantity surveyor, coat attendant, barman, pay clerk, penguin dancer, outdoor instructor, and project manager.

He has loved music ever since he could twiddle the dial on a radio. His musical accolades include the dizzy heights of grade 4 violin, bumping into Simply Red in a nightclub, and – more recently – singing backing vocals on a catfish website jingle with Scottish ‘kings of midlife crisis’ Plum Duff.

His favourite bands are Faithless, Alabama 3, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
